Mahindra takes the ‘green cars’ concept in India a notch up with eVerito

Mahindra and Mahindra’s recent launch shows the company’s contribution towards a greener and healthier environment. With the launch of the new eVerito, an all-out zero-emission sedan, Mahindra has offered a first of its kind vehicle to India!

The electric mobility division of Mahindra announced the arrival of this new member. It is an all-electric sedan and will be available in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Punjab, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Pune.

The Mahindra eVerito consists of the latest electric drivetrain technology produced by Mahindra’s electric mobility division itself. With fast charging technology, the eVerito can be charged in as quickly as 1 hour 45 minutes. A fully charged eVerito will last up to 110kms with a top speed of 86kmph!

Taking into the requirements of the target audience, Mahindra has always aimed to make its latest technology as convenient and easily available to the customers as possible.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Pravin Shah, President and Chief of the automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said, ‘As the pioneer of electric vehicle and integrated mobility solutions in India, it has always been our endeavor to make electric vehicles more accessible and the eVerito is the first electric sedan in our portfolio! With issues like environmental degradation, pollution related challenges, climate change and energy security, there has never been a better time to switch to electric cars.’

Mahindra is further looking forward to a faster adaption of electric cars in India. With the FAME scheme effectively launched by the government, Mahindra’s expectations seem to have a definite future.

Moreover, the company appreciates the local subsidy offered by Delhi government for electric cars and hopes that the other states in the footsteps of the capital.
