Mahindra Launches New Platform for Connected Vehicles!
For Mahindra, the top priority has always been customers’ comfort and safety. Reflecting this, Mahindra has launched a new digital connected vehicle platform – ‘Mahindra DiGiSense.’
The first version of Mahindra’s DiGiSense 1.0 is complete and has been tested within India. The platform’s primary purpose, for now, is to connect Mahindra’s tractors, trucks, vehicles and construction equipment’s to the cloud.
DiGiSense will help the customers to keep an eye on the varied functionalities and attributes of their vehicles. Moreover, it will help Mahindra’s customers to build 24×7 knowledge about the location of their vehicle, digitally.
Another motive behind this launch is to prevent vehicle theft. This has been made possible with the unique geo-tagging system. It allows the owners to view the last location of their vehicle on their smart devices, and even get a notification about it!
Furthermore, DiGiSense also monitors the mechanical health of the vehicle. It prompts the owners to replace parts of the vehicle that may cause a trouble in the future. The application can also limit the speed and the rpm, ensuring it doesn’t go beyond the desired speed when driven by an outsourced driver.
What more? This platform also comes with a real-time GPS feature which provides the best route suggestions. And to make this a reality, Mahindra has covered about 10,000 hours of testing in around 1, 80,000 kilometres!
Besides, the Mahindra DiGiSense platform is an open source that welcomes other developers to customize the features and layouts based on their preferences.
This technology is offered by Mahindra in the Mahindra Imperio, Jeeto, Arjun tractor, and Mahindra Blazo and Earthmaster.
